Being there for five months, I had developed their official web site ( I m also developed their database application for manage their applying leave system using MS Access During Hari Raya Puasa, I responsible to make a multimedia presentation for the ceremony using Macromedia Flash. Cybersix Club June 2000 June year Server Administrator & Facilitator At a first moment, I joined this club for helping my friends to organize their club. This club are computer oriented that manage a services for Kolej Tuanku Canselor s members for internet and tutorial courses. During a tutorial course, I m being a facilitator and giving a guide to participants. The course that we teach are introduction to computer s hardware, introduction to build a personal website, a guide for using Macromedia Flash & Dreamweaver, and an introduction to Redhat Linux. I also was being a server administrator at a same time. For the first time, they re using Linux Slackware for their server system. And then I suggested to them to migrate their system to FreeBSD for a security and stability purpose. This club located in Kolej Tuanku Canselor, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Incubator Club 21 st October th October days Setup UNIX FreeBSD Server I ve joined this Incubator Club at Kolej Tuanku Canselor, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for helping them to setup and configure their Web Server, File Server and Firewall Server using UNIX FreeBSD system. This club supplied services for final year students who doing their research for their final project. They are using all the servers for that purpose.

6 Shek Mohd Fahmi - Resume 6 Projects Final Project for Degree Building Web Application for Entertainment Advertising This was my final project for my Bachelor Degree. This system like a music portal that s anyone can use it for searching a music album on many media. But only music / recording company can use for advertising site. This project also can advertise on many ways such as video streaming, audio streaming and downloaded media. This project runs on UNIX platform successfully. I got an A for this project. Thanks God. Cybercafe Routing Setup This was my freelances work. I ve setup Linux Routing Server for one of cybercafe in Batu Pahat, Johore. Before that, the cybercafe used third party software on Windows for routing system (they re using winroute) and got lots of problem using that software. And then, they call me to replace their old system to Linux routing system. I ve setup a Linux Routing Server and used IPChains (ipmasquerade function) for routing and Squid for their web cache. And it s run successfully. Web Forum Project ( This was one of my open source project. This project developed by my friend and I and I m one of a leader for this project. This project developed using JSP/Servlet and based on JSP-Servlet-JSP and mixed with MVC (Model-View- Controller) architecture. Currently, it was a beta released and it will be upgrade very soon. (For details, please go to Website Developing Project ( This was also one of my freelances work. This website was developed for Syarikat Faiza Sdn. Bhd. for advertising their rice products. I ve developed this website through Faiza Solution Center company.

I love to surf internet for searching information about the latest computer technologies, internet security issues, and many more. I ll save all the important and interested information that I get. And then, I ll read and learn from its. Reading Computer Books This is extending from my first interested (exploring internet). When I feel not enough reading information from internet, I ll go to bookshop and find a books. I ll spend a lot of my money to buying those books. The book that I almost buy and read are about computer & internet security, programming and computer administrative books. Participate with Open Source Projects This is my new hobby. I started participated in this hobby at the end of my final project for degree. The final project was my first released open source project. And web forum project was my second released. There are many advantages that I think good for me such as I can learn a good skill attitude programming from another experiences programmers and I can learn which way of programming will raise security issues. And also I feel satisfy when I give my source code to a public. Exploring UNIX Technologies This is also extending from my first interest (exploring internet). I m very interested to exploring new UNIX technologies because it is so fun to learn. UNIX technologies are very wide of scope and there are so many things to learn. I ve a UNIX system run on my computer. Every time I get a new thing that I learn from internet or books, I ll test it on my system. That s the way I learned.
