1 TAX LEVY ORDINANCE ORDINANCE NO. 06 -'1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF TOW AMENSING FIXING THE TAX RATES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2007 The Township of Towamensing hereby ordains as follows: A tax be and the same is hereby levied on all real property and occupations within the Township oftowamensing, subject to taxation for Township purposes for the fiscal year 2007 as follows: a. Tax rate for general township purposes in the sum of 1 mill on each dollar of assessed value ($.10 per $ of assessed value). b. A continuation ofthe ordinance imposing a real estate transfer tax of one percent (onehalf of one percent effective rate) of the selling price or value to be paid by the transferor on the transfer of real property situate within the Township oftowamensing. c. A reenactment of the per capita tax ordinance imposing a per capita tax of $5.00 on each and every resident and inhabitant of the Township oftowamensing 18 years of age or over. d. A reenactment of the earned income tax imposing a tax of one percent (one-half of one percent effective rate) on salaries, wages, commissions and other compensations earned during the year 2007 by residents of the Township of Towamensing, and for work done or services performed or rendered in the Township by non-residents.

A reenactment of the emergency and municipal services tax ordinance providing for the assessment, levy and collection for general revenue purposes of emergency and municipal services tax in the amount of$10.00 for the year DULY ENACTED AND ORDAINED this 2ih day of December, 2006, before the Supervisors of Towamensing Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania in lawful session duly assembled. 3 LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township of Towamensing, County of Carbon, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, will consider for adoption at a meeting to be held on December 27, 2006 at 3:00 P.M., prevailing time, at the Towamensing Township Municipal Building at 120 Stable Road, Lehighton, PA 18235, an Ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF TOW AMENSING FIXING THE TAX RATES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2007."
