Clampitt earned his Juris Doctorate from Hastings College of Law, University of California in He earned is B.A. from Colby College. Mr. Clampitt is a Partner in Gordon & Rees LLP s San Diego office and is a member of the Business Transactions, Real Estate, Credit Crisis and Tax, Wealth Management & Probate Practice Groups. He has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1985 and a member of the bar for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California since He is admitted to practice in all four Federal Judicial Districts within the State of California and the Southern District of Texas. Peter Olson is a partner working out of the firm s Southern California offices. He has advised and represented corporations, partnerships, LLCs and individuals on a wide variety of business transactions including mergers and acquisitions, real estate, secured financing, defeasance financing, mezzanine and secondary financing, business formations and compliance. Mr. Olson is a former law clerk to the Honorable Gordon Thompson, Jr., United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of California. Mr. Olson received his Bachelor of Science California Lutheran University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California. Mr. Olson is admitted to practice before all of the Courts of the State of California. William M. Rathbone William M. Rathbone is a partner in Gordon & Rees LLP s San Diego office. Mr. Rathbone has been a member of the California Bar since 1980 and a member of the bar for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California since Mr. Rathbone is a former law clerk to the Honorable Ross Pyle, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of California. Mr. Rathbone has been involved in a multitude of bankruptcy cases, as counsel for debtors, trustees, committees and creditors. Saxon is a partner in Gordon & Rees's San Diego office and is Chair of the San Diego Employment practice group. Mr. Saxon provides pro-active advice to companies of all sizes on topics ranging from employee handbooks to wage and hour issues and from Family and Medical Leave/disability to avoiding claims of wrongful termination. In addition, Mr. Saxon regularly defends employers and supervisors in both state and federal court, as well as in arbitration proceedings, against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, defamation, violation of privacy rights, and violation of wage and hour laws. He has also handled numerous class actions and "Private Attorney General" lawsuits claiming Labor Code violations, including failure to provide meal and rest periods, unpaid overtime, failure to reimburse employees' business expenses, and unfair business practices. Kimberly D. Howatt Kimberly D. Howatt is a Partner in the San Diego and Los Angeles offices of Gordon & Rees LLP. In her practice, Ms. Howatt handles a broad scope of commercial matters, and has also developed a focus on particular areas of law that are uniquely critical to businesses, e.g., intellectual property rights, contracts, and bankruptcy issues. Ms. Schaner is a Certified Tax Specialist from the California Board of Legal Specialization, as well as a Certified Public Accountant. Her practice focuses on taxation (planning and controversy), business planning, charitable giving, representation of nonprofit tax-exempt organizations, and estate planning. Hoogerhyde is an associate in the Denver office and a member of the Construction Practice and Bankruptcy Restructuring and Creditors Rights practice groups. Emily Franco Emily Franco is a paralegal for the Insurance Coverage, Employment, and Tort & Product Liability practice groups in both the San Francisco and San Diego offices. Ms. Franco has been with Gordon & Rees since September of Ms. Franco received her B.A. in Legal Studies and Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she served on the board of the UCSC Pre-Law Society.
