1 USING LIVE QUARANTINE SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNT YOU WILL ONLY BE USING THIS SERVICE IF YOU ARE STILL USING Shared Web Hosting . If you are Using KartHost Kloud Mail you will have no need for this service. KartHost Kloud Mail is our professional service. If adding any NEW Addon or Parked Domains to your cpanel hosting account and you plan on using those domains for you MUST open a support ticket and request those domains be added to the Anti-Spam/Anti-Virus Server if you do not all s coming to that domain will bounce back to the sender. 1) To Access the KARTHOST Live Quarantine area you will need to point your web browser to the Anti-Spam/Anti-Virus dedicated server login which is found here at this URL: 2) For first time users (or setting up a new account to manage s) you will need to click on Need to activate your account? link just below and to the left of the Login Button. 3) After clicking on the Need to activate your account? you will need to decide on which address that is associated with your domain name, (example, if you domain name is mybusiness.com, your address MUST be any address with mybusiness.com, like, sales@mybusiness.com or webmaster@mybusiness.com etc. It can be any address as long as it s for the domain you are protecting. In other words you can t use your hotmail or Gmail or any other account that isn t being protected by Live Quarantine area)
2 IF, you enter an address that isn t being protected by Live Quarantine area, you will see this error message: If you DO get this message Open a Support Ticket with Tech Support and request that your domain name be entered into the LiveQuarantine area. After it is added, then you can attempt to set up your account. 4) After you have successfully added your address you will be taken back to the Log In page and you will see this message: 5) Check your address that you used to open your account. You should see TWO s entitled Welcome to Live Quarantine Verification Required
3 Your new Live Quarantine password 6) When clicking on the verification link you will be automatically taken back to the Live Quarantine Login page and you will use the temporary auto-generated password to login to your account. PLEASE NOTE: The password that was supplied to you is only a Temporary Password. You will be instructed with the first login to change your password. Once you have changed your password you will be logged into the Live Quarantine area. SETTING UP ADDITIONAL S IN LIVE QUARANTINED If you will be managing all you s for your domain you will want to add the other s set up for your domain to Live Quarantine. This includes Alias s Forwarders, Group s, and any that is being used by your account. NOTE: All you s will be processed by the Live Quarantine AntiSpam/AntiVirus service, adding the additional s will provide you with Quarantined notification for those additional accounts NOTE: If others will be managing their own accounts you will need to instruct them to set up their own Live Quarantine account.
4 Here is how to add additional addresses to your account: 1) type in the FULL address into the Add a New Alias: 2) You will then be sent a verification and you will need to verify your address you added by clicking on the link as illustrated in the graphic below: 3) After you have clicked on the link you will be taken back to your Quarantine control panel page and you will see that the new address is now verified. 4) Just repeat the process to add additional addresses. WAYS TO VIEW S PLACED IN LIVE QUARANTINE The Live Quarantine service does a great job of filtering all your for both SPAM and VIRUS s.
5 VIRUS s s - If a virus is found in an , you will not be notified, and it will be immediately deleted before you see it SPAM S It s becoming more and more difficult to outwit the spammers of the world. To keep SPAM out of your the standards of classifying what is a spam is getting tighter and tighter. And while the overly vast majority of legitimate mails do get through, from time to time a legitimate mail will not make it through. And you should check your Live Quarantine once every 2 to 3 days before your Live Quarantine s are deleted. There are 4 ways to access the Quarantine s Direct Login to the Protected Live Quarantined control Panel using your web Brower s. When you login to the Live Quarantine control panel you will see two tabs, on the right one is called Quarantine and the other Preferences click on the Quarantine tab and you will be able to view all s that have been caught as SPAM and being held in Quarantine for 72 hours before they are deleted. Quarantine Digest s To activate this service you must click on the Preferences tab and under Quarantine Digest s make sure Daily Digest is Enabled, meaning its activated. You will get daily summary s of all the spam that has been received in the previous 24 hours. Quarantine via RSS To activate this service you must click on the Preferences tab and under Quarantine via RSS you will be able to read your quarantined spam via an RSS Feed. To keep your quarantine secure you are required to generate an RSS fee URL with a random key. By clicking on the Generate button you will generate a RSS feed. The Live Quarantine Outlook Toolbar (it can be downloaded from this page This Toolbar, makes keeping logging into your Live Quarantine control panel easy, and very easy to categorize as spam. Here is what the addon looks like in Outlook: If you are using Outlook you can try the Live Quarantine Outlook Toolbar. Very easy to install and use. Features: Easily report mail items as spam. Select one or multiple messages and use the toolbar button, context menu option or hotkey (Ctrl-S) to report them. And easily access your quarantine from within the Outlook client.
6 MANAGING LIVE QUARANTINE S After you have logged into the Live Quarantine control panel and click on the Quarantine tab you will see all s suspected of spam.
7 If you would like to see a specific message just click on the subject link and the message will open up in a LightBox. By checking the box to the left of each will allow you to manage multiple s at once (the check box at the top will check all box s on the page)
