1 Doctoral Programs in Professional : 2002 This is the official listing of accredited doctoral programs. It reflects all committee decisions through July 28, This list also is provided by electronic means ( but that listing is for informational purposes only and should not be used for official credential review. The Committee on Accreditation has accredited the doctoral training programs in the traditional substantive areas of clinical, counseling, school, or combined professional scientific psychology representing two or more of those areas listed alphabetically below by their host institutions. All of the programs offer the PhD degree, except when otherwise noted. The original date of accreditation, listed for each program, is the day on which the program s accredited status became effective. Program review is governed by the Guidelines and Principles for Accreditation of Programs in Professional (G&P). The guidelines for evaluating these programs can be obtained from the American Psychological Association Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation. Also listed for each program is the date of the next regularly scheduled site visit or submission of self-study report. Those programs visited prior to 2002 for which no final decisions had been reached at the time of this printing are listed as next site visit not yet scheduled. In those instances where date of next self-study review is noted, the committee will determine the timing of the site visit following its review of the program s self-study report. The committee accepts third-party comment on programs in advance of their next scheduled reviews. Programs that have not applied for accreditation are not included in the list. Programs listed as accredited have been judged by the committee to be consistent substantively and procedurally with the G&P. Programs listed as accredited, on probation, are, in the committee s judgment, not currently consistent with the G&P. Programs listed as accredited, inactive, have not admitted students for two successive years. The accreditation status listed for each program reflects that program s current accredited status. If a review of a program is not complete or the decision is not final, the program s prior accreditation status continues to be in effect until the review has been completed and a final decision has been reached.
