Autumn Autumn 2010 The Department of Nursing, UCL has been invited by Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Social and Health Care in Finland to be a part of their 3 ECTS internet- based course in English about Health promotion. Responsible of the process of developing a common model between the Finish and Danish health promotion course and be responsible for the implementation at the Department of Nursing, UCL. The module will be a part of the Nursing Programmes in Svendborg and Odense from Autumn Initiator and Project Manager of project Nursing Europe part II. Development of a 15 ECTS point English language course in the Nursing Programme. The project is developed in collaboration with Halmstad University, The School of Nursing in Sweden, Vestfold University College, Faculty of Health Science in Norway and Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Social and Health Care in Finland Initiator and Project manager of project Nursing Europe part I Development of module: Care for the Chronically Ill Person - a 3 ECTS point course in English for exchange students and Danish students. Two weeks of theoretical studies followed by 4-10 weeks clinical education at international clinical placements. and Preparation and Implementation of a buddy arrangement. The buddy group consists of students in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, radiography and nursing at University College Lillebaelt. The buddy group helps all incoming foreign students to become at part of the student life in Odense. 4
