6 ARTS ADMINISTRATION President, First Performance ( ) First Performance is a composer collective at New York University funded by the Office of Student Activities. Responsibilities included: programming and producing an average of three concerts and two lectures per year, managing budget of 7000$+, PR/Advertising, liaison between composers and visiting ensembles (Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin, Arditti Quartet, International Contemporary Ensemble, Due East) and composers (Fabien Levy, Nicolas Collins, Christian Wolff) Assistant to Washington Square Contemporary Music Society ( ) Now in its thirtieth season, the Washington Square Contemporary Music Society has emerged as one of New York's most pre-eminent organizations devoted to new music performance. Responsibilities included general concert management, liaison between composers and visiting ensembles, and PR/Advertising Co-founder of AltaVoz Composers Ensemble (2003-present) Founded in 2003, áltavoz is a consortium of five Latin American composers living in various cities around North America and Europe. It is a group that expresses the confluence of its members' diverse ethnic an cultural origins through a common purpose: the organization of dynamic contemporary music concerts, interdisciplinary projects, workshops and symposia. Recent events featured guest composers such as Mario Davidovsky, Carlos Sánchez-Gutiérrez, and Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon, in such venues as Harvard University s John Knowles Paine Hall, Boston University s TSAI Performance Center, Julliard School s Paul Hall, University of Nevada Las Vegas, Middlesex Community College, and Tufts University Co-curator for Festival de Música Nova ( ) Curated the Latin-American tour of the Arditti Quartet (2007) and Duo Diorama (2006) in conjunction with the 40 th and 41 st Festival de Musica Nova and the Centro de Experimentación del Teatro Colón.
