1 NOTICE TO BIDDERS ADDENDUM #1 AB SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONVERGED NETWORK WITH SIP TRUNKING AND MANAGED CISCO UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORM FOR PERIOD OF WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND TWO YEARS AB Notice is hereby given that bids shall be opened on October 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. by the Purchasing Agent in the Mercer County McDade Administration Building, 640 South Broad Street, Room #109, Trenton, New Jersey for: Clarifications, amendments, additions, deletions, revisions and modifications are part of the Contract and change the original Bidding Documents only in the manner and to the extent stated. Bidder s are required to complete the Acknowledgement of Receipt of Addendum No. 1 and shall include the Acknowledgement with their bid response. 2 1. After the deployment of the new Cisco CM, will all their locations DIDs come into one location and route from that central hub? (this is required if we are to adhere to the request for Shared Call Paths between all locations) Yes, there will be one central hub. In the future, the DIDs may be split for the purpose disaster recovery between two locations. 2. In regards to Burstable Call Paths, would you assume that this would be done on demand or just have the flexibility to change their call paths with 24 hour notice? Mercer County requires the greatest flexibility and is expecting the call paths on demand. 3. Will there be any other applications running over the requested broadband connections? If so, what are the bandwidth requirements? It is anticipated a requirement of no less than 13 Meg for internet traffic. 4. Will they require MPLS type connectivity from site to site? This is vendor dependant but not required. 5. We need to get us complete addresses and a phone number for each location, then we can start getting bids for the broadband piece. (Porting of Phone numbers) Reference Appendix B Building Addresses and Number of Centrex Lines, page 77, for address information. Please reference the attached listing of NPA/NXX for the sites. 6. Do the fifteen buildings in question have the proper cabling to support voip (cat5e or better)? Minimum of Cat5 cable is available. 7. If not, is cabling a part of the bid? No. Please reference response to question 6 above. 8. Are there fiber connections between any of the buildings? If so, which ones? Yes, there is an existing fiber connection between 640 South Broad Street and 612 South Broad Street. 9. Are blueprints available for each building affected during the bidding phase? If so, how may we obtain them? Blueprints will be provided to the Awardee in support of the implementation as required. 10. Please describe any existing circuit connections at each site and provide contracts and terms that currently exist between the listed locations. There is an existing fiber connection between 640 South Broad Street and 612 South Broad Street. Additional information is not required for the purpose of this bid, however, the County will provide this information upon award, if required. 2
3 11. Will any of these circuits be used in the bids? There is an existing WAN and fiber (as noted above) which will be utilized to connect the remote locations to the hub site. Details which will be provided upon contract award, if required. 12. Please provide an NPA-NXX and zip code for each service site. Please reference the Attachment. 13. Please provide the make and model of each phone to remain on the Centrex service at each of the five sites. The telephones being used are traditional analog sets. 14. Please provide the current and desired internet bandwidth and network connectivity for each site? Please reference Section 12.0 Cost Information MONTHLY CONVERGED NETWORK INTERNET SERVICES, page Describe each and every firewall and router the county will use at each site. The County currently has deployed Cisco 3800 series routers and Cisco ASA 510 series firewalls for these locations. 16. Does the county require internet and voice connectivity to each site? If yes at what speeds? The requirement is access to the hub location to support a converged internet and voice solution. The WAN will be responsible for voice and internet access between the hub and remote locations. The WAN is not included in the scope of this project. 17. Does the county require MPLS or private network for passing data between each VoIP site? This is vendor dependant but not required. 18. What connectivity does the county require between each Centrex and VoIP site? The County will require integration for four (4) digit dialing between the VoIP and Centrex locations. 19. Does the county intend to buy the internet circuits separately and outside from this specification? a. If yes, what are the circuit type and speeds? b. If no what are the circuit types and speeds required and where are they priced on the bid form? No, reference Section 12.0 Cost Information MONTHLY CONVERGED NETWORK INTERNET SERVICES, page 73. 3
4 20. Does the county intend to order circuits to each site outside of this bid? If yes, provide all the details. This is not applicable for the purpose of this bid requirement. However, the County may require additional services and reserves the right to purchase such during the duration of the contract. 4
