10 SHARED SERVICES CENTERS A Shared Services Center is a highly effective way to implement processes that are peripheral to a company s core activities. This model can be applied to medium-sized businesses as well as large enterprises and holding companies. The creation and development of a Shared Services Center allows companies to: centralize business processes across separate divisions reduce the costs associated with accounting processes improve the quality of internal processes refine management processes increase profitability Intercomp specialists have helped implement over 200 projects to centralize business processes Building an SSC SSC project planning SSC project planning by Intercomp specialists provides the tools and documentation that allow a company to independently set up its own SSC. Using the road map prepared, the company s management team can proceed with the establishment of an operational center, taking account of the recommendations of Intercomp s specialists, who have completed a large number of projects relating to the centralization of accounting functions.
