4 ABSTRACT With a combined install base of greater than $3B, Centera and Atmos have successfully established the object storage marketplace and are in active use in enterprises, governments, and service providers across the world. Both products have successfully shipped multiple generations of HW and SW and have maintained data and application API compatibility across all product generations. This talk will cover the principles of data access and management that define both Centera and Atmos, the upcoming features and improvements for both product lines, and how these data access and management principles are maintained and extended in EMC s next generation object storage platform. 4
