2 Consider elearning allure elearning is electronic remote learning computer-generated thru digital courseware text-based, advanced learning, software-driven navigation can use vodcasts (video demonstrations), podcasts (audio lecture)» searchable transcripts in Portable Document Format (PDF) features flexible mobility, hands-on learning learner chooses learning time, place, and breaks offline or online» in-house (local) or offsite (expanded distances)» active instructor-led and proactive self-taught learning culture anytime, anyplace proactive initiative» advanced American elearning is typically a culture requiring:» comprehensive reading abilities» proper syntax, English writing» independent thinking» communication What is the elearning controversy about?

3 elearning Controversy elearning benefits and weaknesses nonprofit and for-profit institutions with or without tuition fees» firms, corporal schools, and cybernetic schools use elearning» kindergarten children through high schools advanced education» youth and adult learners internet-based schools and homeschools stereotype underestimates capabilities home education, virtual schools are questioned» National Education Association (NEA)» conventional learning is passive» no enhanced transportable skillsets» no boost in student centered creativities» lacks motivating student innovation
