Key Cisco E-Learning Philosophies (2-1) E-learning is the online delivery of information, communication, education, and training. E-learning provides a new set of tools that can add value to all the traditional learning modesclassroom experiences, textbook study, CD- ROM, and traditional computer based training. Old-world learning models don't scale to meet the new world learning challenge. E-learning can provide the tools to meet that challenge. 4

The learning activities managed through an LM can be any form, including instructor-led training and e-learning courseware. LCM (Learning content management system ): -- a system that's used to create, store, assemble, and deliver personalized e-learning content in the form of learning objects. IDC -- An LCM is content focused: It tackles the challenges of creating, reusing, managing, and delivering content.
