1 imag Pro Card Reader Instructions You will need: q ios device with 30-pin dock connector: older ipad, iphone, or ipod touch models any current device (with lightning connectors) will not work q A WiFi connection on the device (RowanSecure on campus) q An account on the device q ProfLink ( account with an approved event and access to track event attendance (any officer roles for example) q UniScan app from the app store and $19.99 annual export in-app purchase you can use an Apple App/iBook/iTunes Store (just not a silver Apple Store) gift card to add funds to your account q imag Pro card reader attachment: complete a requisition directly with AJ Conveyor and Laundry Systems LLC (vendor # ), Anthony Bevilaque ( ) is our sales contact Take care not to forcefully drop the imag Pro the sensor can easily become disconnected and cause the device to no longer work. On your ios device: You will need to download the UniScan app on each ios device you will be using the imag Pro card reader with. If you see the Hardware scanner not found message, the app is not recognizing the imag Pro. Make sure the device is inserted into the dock connector of the ios device securely. Unplug it and insert it again until the Ready message appears:

2 The Ready screen appears when the app is connected to your imag Pro card reader. Before using the system for the first time, you must: 1. Purchase the full version 2. Configure the Settings to work with RowanCard IDs ç To start, select History ç Then select Get Full Version

3 ç Choose Restore Purchases if your Department has already purchased the full version. You will need to first be logged in with your Department s Apple ID in your ios device s settings ( Settings app, Store settings) ç Choose History Log Export Features (Annual) to purchase the ability to export logs with the current Apple ID (from your ios device s settings Settings app, Store settings). You will need to first have gift card funds applied to your Apple ID s App Store/iBooks/iTunes account and/or a credit card number on file. Once you purchase the full version, you can use it with multiple ios devices as long as they all share the same Apple ID. ç Next, select Settings

4 ç Change Starts at to 2 ç Change String Length to 16 Now return to the Scan screen. If the app reads Ready, you can scan the RowanCard ID.

5 ç After you swipe the card, the Scan info screen will appear with the ID No. If you receive a string shorter than expected or other error, or the ID No. is?e; etc., you probably swiped the RowanCard ID too fast, try again. When you are ready to swipe the next card, select Hide to return to the Ready screen. ç After your event, select History ç At the History screen, select Manage log. This will only be available if you have purchased the annual History Log Export Features.

6 ç Select Export History Log. You must have an account setup on your ios device ( Settings app, Mail, Contacts, Calendars ). ç Address the to a rowan.edu address (do not History Logs to other domains like gmail, etc.)

7 ç After you send the (you may want to switch to the Mail app and make sure the message is in your Sent Items folder), select Manage log again and then Clear History Log so you are ready for your next event. ç Select YES to erase all History. You are then ready for your next event!

8 Importing History log file to ProfLink 1. When you receive the history log file , open the file. 2. The Card number column should have 16-digit ISO numbers like If E+15 appears instead, click the B column header and select Format Cells. Select Number as the Category and change the Decimal places to 0:

9 3. Navigate to your event in ProfLink. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page and select Track Attendance:

10 4. Click + Add Attendance : 5. Click the Text Entry tab:

11 6. Change the Identifier Type to Card ID Number : 7. In the History log Excel file, select all of the ISO numbers from column B Card number:

12 8. Press Ctrl+C to copy the data and switch back to ProfLink. 9. In the Card ID Number box, press Ctrl+V to paste the data in the Attendees box (note that this will only support up to 500 card IDs, if you have more than 500 attendees, just copy and paste 500 at a time): 10. Make sure Status is Attended and click Add.

13 11. You will see a green box with the results of your import: 12. You can view individual user attendance information at the bottom of the page. To download the event attendance (to send a follow-up survey etc.), click the Export button:
