3 4 5 The ANZ Pacific Money 1 is a new Visa prepaid card that can allow your family and friends to access money in the Pacific. The ANZ Pacific Money comes with two cards; one cardholder card for you in Australia and one nominee card for your nominated family member or friend in Fiji, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Samoa or Tonga. Funds can be uploaded using the cardholder card in Australia and accessed by the family member or friend holding the nominee card in the Pacific. You don t need to open a bank account, there are no credit checks, and you can use the card at ATMs and EFTPOS terminals wherever Visa cards are accepted electronically in Australia, Fiji, PNG, Samoa and Tonga including online merchants in these locations. Features and benefits Anyone living in Australia can apply for an ANZ Pacific Money. The person holding the cardholder card decides who receives the other card in the set, the nominee card. The cardholder can access the following features and benefits: Access to the ANZ Pacific Money customer website for: - Card activation - Balance checking - BPAY reference details - Transaction history - Resetting own PIN - Initiating transaction disputes - Updating address information for the cardholder and nominee Balance notification via SMS (fees apply) No interest or account keeping fees. Access to the ANZ Pacific Money Support Centre (8:00 to 20:00 (AEST)). The nominee card can be held by anyone living in Fiji, PNG, Samoa or Tonga. Holders of this card have access to the following features: Free SMS notifications for balance movement on the card (where a mobile phone number is registered) Access to the ANZ Pacific Money Support Centre (8:00 to 20:00 (AEST)). 4 6 7 A five digit numeric secret code for both cardholder and nominee to assist ANZ with customer identification Mobile (cell) phone numbers - where available address - optional. Once you have completed the cardholder and nominee details, a confirmation page will appear and provide you with an invoice reference number. You can quote this number if you need to talk to ANZ before you receive your cards. You will not be charged this fee when you raise a complaint, dispute a transaction, start a chargeback or request your PIN to be reset (if you are the Australian cardholder). 4. Receiving your ANZ Pacific Money Your cards will be sent with a zero balance. Cardholder cards will be sent to the nominated residential address in Australia. Nominee cards will be sent to the ANZ head office in the relevant Pacific country, and the person collecting the card will need to provide satisfactory proof of identity. Please allow approximately three weeks for the nominee cards to reach the ANZ head office within the Pacific. ANZ will notify the nominee that the card is ready for collection. Activating your ANZ Pacific Money The cardholder in Australia will generally get their card before the nominee in the Pacific. The nominee should let the cardholder know once they have collected their card from the ANZ branch. 5 8 9 - Create and enter a one time password for use on the secure customer website. Using the card The cardholder can load funds that can be accessed by the nominee by using their card. To load funds, the cardholder can: Remit funds from their financial institution using BPAY (details available via the customer website) or; Go to - Scroll down the page to the ANZ Pacific Money - Click on the Find out more button - Click on the Load button - Complete the payment screens. Note: Only Visa or Mastercard cards can be used for online uploads To access the funds within Australia, Fiji, PNG, Samoa or Tonga, the nominee can: Withdraw funds at any ATM accepting Visa Note: Australian ANZ ATM s do not charge for ATM withdrawals or balance requests however other fees may apply. Purchase goods at any merchant that accepts Visa electronically Make purchases online through websites where merchant facilities are held within Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa or Tonga. No, the cardholder and nominee do not need to hold accounts with ANZ in Australia or the Pacific. Are there restrictions on the number of ANZ Pacific Money s I can apply for? Yes, both the cardholder and the nominee are restricted to a maximum of 5 cards each. Will my name appear on the ANZ Pacific Money? No, the ANZ Pacific Money is not personalised. The card will be printed with the words Prepaid Cardholder. What limits apply to the ANZ Pacific Money? Limits AUD Maximum card balance $500 Maximum value load $500 Total value loads - 30 day period $2,500 Total value loads - 12 month period $9, Can transactions occur in any currency on the ANZ Pacific Money? All cash withdrawals, purchases and fees are deducted from the card in AUD. Any Tonga p anga, Samoa tala, Papua New Guinea kina or Fiji dollar transactions will be converted to Australian dollars before the transaction is completed. 6 10 11 Can I use this card everywhere? No, the ANZ Pacific Money can only be used at Visa-enabled ATMs or for electronic transactions including online purchases where prepaid Visa is accepted and merchant facilities are held within Australia, Fiji, PNG, Samoa and Tonga. What happens if I try to load an amount that exceeds the card load limit of AUD $500? The maximum amount that can be accessed using the ANZ Pacific Money at any one time is AUD $500. If you try to load more than AUD $500 or try to load an amount that would take your current card balance above AUD $500, your entire transaction will be unsuccessful, resulting in no money being made available except what is already the current balance. If you attempt such an upload online via it will be rejected. If you attempt to load via BPAY, your attempt will be rejected, but it can take up to 5 business days for your funds to be made available to you again. How long is the ANZ Pacific Money valid for? What must I do if my ANZ Pacific Money Transfer Card is lost, stolen or damaged? If you are the cardholder and your card is lost, stolen or damaged, you can call ANZ Prepaid Cards and request a new set of cards to be issued. Both you and your nominee will be issued new cards and PINs. If you are the nominee, you can call ANZ Prepaid Cards and report your card being lost, stolen or damaged but only the cardholder will be able to request a new card for you. When a nominee s card is replaced the cardholder s card will continue to operate as normal. What do I do if I require further guidance or technical support for my card? Toll free within Australia: International: AUD $1.20 fee applies for card information via the automated phone service AUD $4.00 fee will apply if you choose to speak with an operator unless you are calling to raise a complaint, dispute a transaction, start a chargeback or request your PIN to be reset (if you are the cardholder). Your card is valid until the expiry date shown on the card. This may be up to 3 years from when you receive it. When can I access the funds? Please allow up to four business days for funds loaded via BPAY to become available for use. Funds loaded via the will be available immediately. These timeframes are subject to any system or telecommunication provider outages and assume that the cardholder has provided all information necessary for us to process the value load.
