3 Welcome to Paducah! This year the Quilt Channel is celebrating it s 25th Anniversary. What began as a vision of our founder Terry Schmitt has successfully evolved into a valuable and entertaining service for viewers throughout the world. Terry s appreciation of quilting, and his passion for documenting quiltmakers and their art led him to develop the Quilt Channel. While Terry passed away in 2010, the team here at the Quilt Channel are proud and honored to continue his legacy. Over the years The Quilt Channel has produced thousands of hours of quilt related programming, taped thousands of quilts and quilt artists, plus we ve met thousands of visitors who travel to this wonderful city. Though the years technology has changed, and we have changed with it. This year the Quilt Channel will be streaming it s programing worldwide and we are excited to showcase our area internationally. What was once available only to those who made the pilgrimage to Paducah, can now be seen around the globe. Thank you for being a part of the Quilt Channel s 25th Anniversary.
