2 Revisions 2015 Guideline Wholesale Requirement Risk of Contamination: Revision of the scope Aim: Maintaining food security through exclusion of any source of contamination New: Requirement Flow of Goods Aim: Securing that the number of marketed QS-Goods/special declared goods is maximum as high as the amount of purchased QS-Goods/special declared goods Requirement Participation in Residue Monitoring: Distinction of the requirements Aims: More precise overview for scheme participants and auditors More specific evaluation within the audit possible Avoidance of disproportionate K.O. evaluation by differentiating the requirements into a K.O. and a non-k.o.-requirement 2

3 Revisions 2015 Guideline Residue Monitoring Requirement QS-Residue Database: Specification A sample can only be used once to fulfil the sampling target. A double use of samples is not allowed. Aims: Ensuring that every scheme participant takes samples (when purchasing QS-Goods) Exclusion of the double use of samples (e.g. the usage of one sample by the coordinator and likewise by the wholesale) Clear regulation for scheme participants 3

5 Integration of the logistics service providers in the QS-Scheme Scope From on: Obligatory integration of logistics service providers into the scheme chain Fruits, Vegetables, Potatoes Scope: Transport between QS-scheme participants on wholesale level. Regularly contracted logistics service providers. Not applicable/mandatory for: Transports from the producer to the customer. Transports from the supplier to the food retail store. Transports performed by the own fleet of the QS-certified Wholesaler. Unique or on short notice contracted logistics service providers (e.g. for Christmas trading). Those have to be obliged to comply with the relevant QS-requirements and have to be reviewed within the scope of the selfassessment. 5

6 Integration of the logistics service providers in the QS-Scheme Auditing, Guideline, inspection system New production scope: Logistics Fruit, Vegetables, Potatoes (84) The requirements are summarized in the Guideline Wholesale/Logistics, part B (focus on: traceability, hygiene) There is a particular Checklist regarding logistics IFS-Logistics certificates are fully accepted by QS Inspection system: Audit frequency according to the stage wholesale (Status I, II, III) Group/bundle certification possible (see GL Certification): Number of locations (without main location) < 5 < Number of locations to be audited 2 3 at least 33% 6
