Runs on a new real-time operating system: NetAcquire Deterministic Linux (NDL) a. 50 microsecond worst-cast determinism/latency (500 times better than desktop Linux) 3. Higher processing throughput with multi-core processor support 4. High reliability that leverages memory protection of kernel data structures and processes 5. More convenient navigation with Web interface enhancements a. Full left navigation bar with expand/collapse b. Improved page layout 6. More accurate real-time scheduling including the ability to accurately schedule Data Flow timers at faster than 1 KHz rates 7. Faster system restart after most global configuration changes 8. Convenient network administration with DHCP support for network address assignment 9. Enhanced file transfer security available with SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) support 10. Flexible software version management with new software downgrade/fallback capability 11. New TCP/UDP device streams offer Convenient Network Communication a. Using a simple UNC addressing scheme, for example /tcp/connect/ /1500, /tcp/listen/1600, /udp/unicast/2001:db8::1/1700, this feature provides convenient network access to any NetAcquire software entity that can read/write from/to NetAcquire device streams, such as the recorder, player, BERT, data flows, etc. b. For TCP, both the client role (actively connecting to a remote endpoint) and the server role (passively listening for connections) are supported c. Unicast, multicast, and broadcast are supported for UDP 12. IPv6 Support for Next-Generation Networks with Increased Security/Availability a. Supported in all network subsystems 1 b. Network interfaces can be automatically configured using either DHCPv6 or autonomous auto-configuration based on IPv6 router advertisements, or else bymanual configuration c. DNS resolver configuration can be obtained via DHCP, from IPv6 router advertisements, via manual configuration, or a combination of these d. IPv6 interfaces use duplicate address detection to prevent address conflicts e. IPv6 multicast can be used to efficiently send UDP packets to multiple recipients 13. 2 a. Allow or block network port access based on flexible criteria (interface, source/destination port or protocol, IP flags, etc.) b. Configurable logging of occurrences of rejected traffic c. Allows network traffic regulation through the use of DSCP (DiffServ) IP packet header configurability to prioritize packets b.
