2 Trade Marks Registry (TMR): A Transparent Approach of Functioning Under Section 147 of the Trade Marks Act, 1999, the Registrar of Trade Marks is required to have an index of - o Registered trademarks, o Pending applications, o proprietor wise index of registered trademarks and o the names of Registered User. Section 148 (2) of the Trade Marks Act 1999 and Rule 119 of the Trade Marks Rules 2002 provide for making available to the Public, the certified copy of the Public documents Rule 117 of the Trade Marks Rules 2002 provides for inspection of the Public documents by the Public

3 Dynamic utility facility To ensure further transparency in the office functioning, the Dynamic utility facility is introduced to make available to the public, the status of various functions performed by the TMR on real time basis. At present, it provides the reports of following functions performed by the TMR during a particular period - Examinations of trademark applications, show cause hearings, publications in the trademark journal, registrations of trademarks, otherwise disposal of applications (i.e. by way of abandonment, refusal etc.) done and notices issued -month wise or date wise International registrations designating India Report related to Dynamic utility facility can be generated month-wise of specific date wise by submitting the queries as per selection criteria.

11 Stocks & Flows of TMR applications In Addition of the dynamic utilities, TMR registry has also launched Stock and Flow based DynamicTrademark Utility. It provides the applicants/stakeholders with the facility to view the Trade marks under different stocks and the flow of TM applications pending at various stages of the functioning of the TMR.
