Th program promots th undrstanding of daf popl as a linguistic and cultural group and ncourags studnts to analyz xisting strotyps and policis rlating to daf and hardof-haring popl in ordr to work both within thir own communitis and othrs in affcting chang for th bttrmnt of th daf and hard-of-haring community.
