2 JOB PURPOSE Ownership for oversight and delivery of SC Italy programme portfolio in the region, leading on the timely creation of proposals, contracts and reports in support of quality delivery of the end to end grant cycle. Monitoring of SC Italy budget for the region, raising red flags where appropriate to senior management (Head of Portfolio Oversight). Contribute to the development of SC Italy portfolio in the region. RESPONSIBILITIES: International Portfolio Budgeting and monitoring: Supports in preparation of the budget for the region and appropriate funding allocation Responsible for monitoring of expenditures and analysis of variances for the region Portfolio oversight In conjunction with Country Offices, lead on the timely creation of proposals, contracts and reports in support of quality delivery of the end to end grant cycle for the region For the defined geographical focus, remote monitoring oversight of all SC Italy donor projects and related risks building strong relationships with the country programme and raising red flags where appropriate to Senior Management Ensure necessary quality assurance business processes are completed to ensure programmes are running effectively and on time Primary source of knowledge for Sponsorhsip programmes in the Region, including awareness of key Countries performance indicators (scorecards), knowledge of key programmatic information, raising red flags where appropriate to senior management for their follow up. Participation to SPOT meetings and possible representation of SC Italy to Sponsorship review Portfolio development: Review and appraisal of proposals ensuring compliance with internal standard, liaising with TDQ unit as appropriate Support institutional fundraising through: providing input for an optimal targeting of COs/sector of interventions according to the field capacities, supporting proposal reviews, ensuring financial and programme sustainability is incorporated in proposal. Support private fundraising through identification of project ideas and providing information about context and programme intervention as appropriate, in conjunction with Content management and communication staff Award management Member point person on AMS international for all awards of SC Italy in the region Manages projects record data in Agresso Pagina 2 di 5

3 Ensure development of Fund summaries and Sub Grant Agreements in compliance with Donors requirements and internal standards Responsible for project reporting in compliance with internal standards and Donor contract requirements as detailed in the Fund Summaries Assumes grant management for non institutional donors from point of contract signature and supports grants management of institutional donors through appropriate budget planning and monitoring, analyses of variances, inputting on preparation of amendments Verification of grant data accuracy / completeness as required for overall management and monitoring Representation Liaison role for the region at appropriate levels with SC Italy donors, in conjunction with Institutional partnership team, TDQ team and Marketing team; particularly in relation to existing grants. Representation role, at appropriate levels, with SCI (in particular at regional and country consultation meetings), as defined by the Head of department on an ad hoc basis. Cross cutting function Country Office profiling and assessment Primary source for own member staff on all SC programming in Region First point of contact for Country Offices Develops strong knowledge base of in-country context and current issues in relation to delivery and operating platform in particular. EDUCATION, COMPUTER AND LANGUAGE SKILLS University degree in a relevant field preferably development cooperation, social sciences, etc. Highly computer literate and confident with Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint, Excel and the Internet; and an interest in appropriate use of current information and communications technologies Fluent in Italian and spoken and written English EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION Very good knowledge of Project Cycle management concepts and very strong project management skills Minimum of three years work experience in humanitarian aid and /or development sector with an international organization-field experience is an asset A good knowledge of major institutional donors management requirement Pagina 3 di 5
