2 Timetable notes Timetable notes 1. Each ex must be taken on the day and at the time shown on the timetable. The published starting time of all exs is either 9.00 or Students taking more than one ex in a session should take these consecutively. A supervised break may be given between the exs taken consecutively at the discretion of the school/college. 2. Schools/colleges may start an ex up to 30 minutes before the published starting time without notifying AQA. 3. Schools/colleges may delay the starting time of an ex by up to 30 minutes later than the published starting time without notifying AQA. 4. or information on any other timetable variations, please refer to the JCQ Instructions for conducting exinations or contact AQA Exs Office Support. 5. Students must remain under supervision until for morning exs and 2.30 for afternoon exs. or exs of less than one hour s duration, students must remain under supervision for a period equal to the duration of the ex after the published starting time shown on the timetable. 6. GCSE exs are timetabled in common inter-board agreed slots. 7. Some components/units require the issue of question papers, stimulus material or other information in advance of the normal timetable period. Schools/colleges should check the specification for information on the material required by students. 8. Any reading time specified for an ex is included in the time specified. 9. Schools/colleges must arrange practical and oral units according to the procedures indicated. Such units are not shown on the timetable except when a unit is scheduled to be taken during the ex timetable period. Subject/qualification notes GCSE 10. Schools/colleges should submit their internally-assessed marks/ assessments so that they are received by AQA and their designated AQA moderator by the dates shown in the table below. Similarly, externallyassessed speaking tests should be received by a school s/college s designated AQA exiner by the dates shown in the table below. Students entered for the May/June 2015 exs may carry forward their internally-assessed component marks according to the guidance given on the Carry forward of marks page of our website. 12. The externally set task question papers for GCSE Art and Design will be dispatched to schools/colleges in December 2014 on the basis of estimated entries and can be distributed to students from 1 January The preliminary material for GCSE Media Studies unit is to be issued to students on or after 18 May 2015.

3 14. or GCSE Performing Arts the preliminary material for the Showcase unit (48802) and Chosen Commission Briefs unit (48804) will be dispatched to schools/colleges in October 2014 on the basis of estimated entries and published in the Secure Key Materials area of e-aqa.
