3 FY14 Renewable Energy Program Summary of Proposed Changes New incentive program for energy storage technology. During Q3 of 2013, Board Staff and the Market Manager will hold discussions with interested stakeholders to develop program guidelines, incentive structure and target market. The findings of these stakeholder meetings will provide input which will be utilized to develop a competitive solicitation process. The formation of the stakeholder group will be discussed at the July RE committee meeting.

4 FY14 Renewable Energy Program Summary of Proposed Changes Biopower program changes The incentive structure will change from a fixed incentive schedule to a competitive solicitation which will be administered by the Market Manager. During Q3 of 2013, Board Staff and the Market Manager will hold discussions with interested stakeholders to develop the solicitation process and a solicitation schedule for FY14. The solicitation would rely upon past project eligibility requirements and program application forms. The formation of the stakeholder group will be discussed at the July RE committee meeting. The REIP financial incentive for sustainable biopower feasibility studies and wind feasibility studies will be eliminated for FY14.

5 REIP Biopower Program Update During , 8 project applications were submitted and approved. Total capacity of 3.51 MW and approved rebate commitments of $7.53 million. Two additional projects under review totaling 1.78 MW and requesting rebates totaling $3.64 Million. Three feasibility studies were approved with rebate commitments totaling $69,274. All three studies have been completed; two will proceed and one was not feasible.

Please list the working group name in the subject line. The first meeting for both groups will be held on either July 22nd, 23rd or 24th at a meeting location to be determined. Biopower meeting in morning and Energy Storage meeting in the afternoon.
