5 The dataset includes all incoming beginners in the 2012 and 2013 fall cohorts enrolled in MD, specifically: Pre Clinical Lab Science BS, Pre Cytotechnology BS, Pre Medical Imaging Tech BS, Pre Nuclear Medicine Tech BS, Pre Paramedic Science AS, Pre Radiation Therapy BS, Pre Radiography AS, Pre Respiratory Therapy BS. The study looks at their enrollment patterns thru Fall 2014, to determine if they have been admitted to one of the MED1 Health Profession programs or another program within Indiana University. If they have not been admitted to a program, we determined if they were still enrolled in a pre program (OL). In the case that they have completely left Indiana University, we utilized the National Student Clearinghouse data to try and determine where they had gone and their program of enrollment. NOTE: National Student Clearinghouse data is not exhaustive. It is possible for a student to be registered outside the IU system and not have a match identified, therefore the best we can do is say how many have been identified at other institutions, not how many are not enrolled. Beginners (Fall 2013) Of the 228 to MD1 in Fall 2013, 48 (21.1%) had been accepted into programs within a year. 43 (18.9%) had been admitted into an IUINA program. Two (0.9%) have been accepted into MED1 programs for the Spring 2015 term. Page 5 of 12
