Assists participants in the interpretation of these documents and how their guidance influences our diagnostic coding selections without sacrificing coding accuracy. Delineates agency roles to facilitate coding accuracy including tips for the creation of a coding compliance process. Analyzes how ICD-9 codes impact risk adjustment & reimbursement. Helps coders minimize risk by discerning the difference between rumors, opinions & official guidance, as well as learning a methodology for researching coding questions. This class looks at all the other issues related to home health coding beyond just describing your patient with ICD-9 codes.
