2 The Irish Franchise Association Awards & EXPO 2010 The Irish Franchise Association is the representative body for Franchising in Ireland. The Irish Franchise Awards recognise excellence in franchising. These prestigious awards identify and reward the outstanding achievements of businesses and individuals in franchise industry. The franchise sector has shown spectacular growth over recent years and according to the Irish Franchise Association s latest survey, there has been a marked increase in turnover for the sector to billion representing an increase of 69% since the last survey in 2004 with currently 270 active systems in Ireland providing 25,461 jobs. Even during these recessionary times, the Irish Franchise Association is one of the only growth sectors of the Irish Economy The Irish Franchise Association Franchise EXPO 2009 will take place at Croke Park on February 26 th and 27 th 2010 and the awards will be presented at a formal black-tie awards ceremony in the Hospitality Suite at Croke park on Friday February 26 th The award ceremony is anticipated to be one of the most impressive business events of the year reflecting the remarkable growth of the sector and will be particularly prestigious this year as it will be part of the much larger EXPO initiative hosted this year by the Irish Franchise Association

3 Silver Jubilee Franchise Awards 2008 On Thursday, November 20th at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Dublin, the winners of the Irish Franchise Awards 2008 were announced. Top honours went to The Streat, Home Instead Senior Care, Abrakebabra Investments, Pristine.ie, O Briens Sandwich bars, David Zebedee and a special award for outstanding contribution to Franchising to Michael Bradley, former CEO of the Irish Franchise Association
