To apply for scholarships through the University of Texas follow the Applying for Scholarships link. Click the link that applies to you and you will be forwarded to specific section of Follow the directions according to your situation. o College of Engineering: Follow the link to the College of Engineering scholarship website. Choose either Current Undergraduate or Prospective First-Year and Transfer Students and follow directions to apply for scholarships depending on your current status. Also fill out the Scholarship Application at the UT Official Financial Aid Website. o School of Business: For general scholarship assistance see: UT Official Financial Aid Website. For specific business scholarship opportunities follow the Scholarship link to the bottom of the page which will give links and information for specific scholarship opportunities. o College of Liberal Arts: Once the scholarship application at the UT Official Financial Aid Website has been completed the College of Liberal Arts link has

Read what is available and fill out the necessary application. o College of Natural Sciences: The College of Natural Sciences scholarship page has information about current and future scholarships. There are also links to major specific scholarships available within the CNS. You are again encouraged to fill out the Official UT Scholarship Application at the UT Official Financial Aid Website. o School of Nursing: Complete the School of Nursing Scholarship Application linked on the School of Nursing Financial Aid Website. There are also grant opportunities and more scholarships down the page based on need and merit. You are again encouraged to fill out the Official UT Scholarship Application at the UT Official Financial Aid Website. o School of Fine Arts: Theatre & Dance Majors: Freshman and Transfer Students are directed to the UT Official Financial Aid Website to fill out the Official UT Scholarship Application. The department of Theatre & Dance also offers departmental scholarships based on past and predicted academic success, demonstrated talent, and other criteria. Art, Art History and Music Majors: Fill out the Official UT Scholarship Application at the UT Official Financial Aid Website. o School of Information: After filling out the UT Scholarship Application at the UT Official Financial Aid Website go to the above link and click the General Information and follow the directions to fill out and submit a general application for scholarships to the School of Information.
3 o School of Biological Sciences: For the School of Biological Sciences scroll down and find a scholarship based on your current situation and follow the link to find the application to be submitted. Also be sure and fill out the UT scholarship application at the UT Official Financial Aid Website. o College of Communication: Scholarships from the College of Communication are only awarded to continuing students who are currently enrolled at U.T. during the application semester and will enroll full-time (both semesters) in the Fall and Spring of the next academic year. The College of Communication website contains information about available scholarships. Read the site to determine what you are eligible for and request more information from the department. New students should fill out the UT Scholarship Application at the UT Official Financial Aid Website. o College of Education: The first link on the College of Education scholarship page is the application for their college specific scholarships. Fill this application out to be considered for all available College of Education scholarships. For University specific scholarships fill out the UT Scholarship Application at the UT Official Financial Aid Website. o School of Social Work: To be considered for an assistantship or a scholarship, students must have a current Financial Aid Form on file with the School of Social Work Office of Admissions. The form is available at the Office of Admissions or can be downloaded in Word or PDF format. Recipient must score at least 1300 on the SAT I or at least 31 on the ACT and will continue to receive scholarship support as long as his or her cumulative grade point average remains above o Scholarship: Daedalian Foundation NROTC Scholarship Awards Donor: The Daedalian Foundation Amount: $1,000 Eligibility: Graduating midshipman in the top 25 percent of his or her graduating class with an interest in the naval aviation community o Scholarship: Military Affairs Council Scholarship Donor: The Military Affairs Council Amount: $250 Eligibility: Second-class midshipman with leadership potential o Scholarship: Naval ROTC Two-Year Scholarship Donor: United States Navy Amount: Pays for tuition, fees, and books and provides a stipend of $250 to $450 a month Eligibility: Juniors who are United States citizens, have a grade point average of at least 2.50, and will be less than twenty-five years of age at graduation
8 o Scholarship: Naval ROTC Four-Year Scholarship Donor: United States Navy Amount: Pays for tuition, fees, and books and provides a stipend of $250 to $450 a month Eligibility: Lower-division students who are United States citizens and will be less than twenty-five years of age at graduation o Scholarship: The United Services Automobile Association Scholarship Award Donor: United Services Automobile Association Amount: $500 Eligibility: Students in the Naval ROTC advanced course that are ranked in the top 10 percent of their class and have a grade point average of at least 3.00 Navy Scholarship: o USS Little Rock NROTC Scholarship Award: Donor: USS LITTLE ROCK Association Amount: $1000 Eligibility: : NROTC students, as noted above, who are the children or direct descendents of active, retired, or honorably discharged members of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, or their Reserve components; or who themselves are serving or have served in any of the Regular or Reserve sea services; or who are USS LITTLE ROCK Association "Junior Associates" who have been members in good standing for at least two years, are eligible for further consideration on the basis of individual merit. Candidates, otherwise eligible, must have demonstrated superior leadership qualities and aptitude for the service, and shall have achieved a cumulative grade point average (Cum GPA) of at least 3.0, in all accredited course work. Apply to: Interested, qualified candidates may apply during their second academic year in letter format addressing each of the eligibility criteria and first endorsed by the Professor of Naval Science. (The letter shall contain text of approximately 500 words describing why the candidate considers him/herself
9 worthy of the award.) A copy of the student s academic transcript or similar official record shall accompany the application. Applications/nominations must be received by NSTC, OD4 no later than 10 May. o ADM Mike Boorda Scholarship Program The Adm.
