2 SEO Career Program A gateway for students of color seeking highly coveted, challenging and rewarding careers Earn up to $1,200 per week The nation s premier internship program leading to full-time job offers* In 2008: 7 programs with 51 partners and 437 interns from 128 colleges nationwide * Approximately 80% of SEO interns have received job offers in the past few years 1

4 Preparation - Training World Class Training Programs, Workshops and Institutes 100 hours of SEO training in addition to firm-specific training Tailored online and classroom training taught by business professionals and business school faculty Training topics include: Accounting, financial modeling, valuation, comparable company analysis, networking, etiquette, presentation skills, trading simulations and more! Orientation, mid-summer and end-of-summer professional development workshops 3

5 Access Summer Events Summer Seminar Series, GCFL Institute, CL Institute SEO interns are placed at a specific firm/company but meet representatives and receive industry knowledge from numerous partners in their program Banking, Law and Philanthropy partners host seminars and receptions allowing interns to meet CEOs, senior management, SEO alums and recruiting officers The Global Corporate Financial Leadership Institute includes a mini-mba course, corporate officer roundtables, corporate strategy presentations and team building sessions The Corporate Law Institute is a two-week law school prep program lead by distinguished law school professors and top corporate lawyers 4

23 Application Process Step 1: Register (Optional) Get invitations to SEO oncampus events Apply to SEO-U (freshmen only) Step 2: Apply Easy online application Personal information One short answer essay One page résumé Unofficial transcript Admissions are rolling First round is November 1 st Step 3: Interview We have a rolling admissions process We conduct a phone screen and then an in-person interview Critical behavior interviews that include a program-specific case question Interviews take place at our offices in New York City and regional locations Requirement 3.0 GPA minimum at time of admission 22
