We have assembled speakers from industry, government and First Nations to speak about the new changes and challenges relating to the industry. We will examine the provincial consultation guidelines and how they work. The oil and gas industry is booming: what is in place for sustainable development? What are the recent economic development partnerships with the Aboriginal communities? How can Aboriginal leaders pave the way for emerging opportunities for oil and gas initiatives for sustainable development? What plans are in place to address labour shortages with an Aboriginal workforce? Environment planning and monitoring are key to sustainable development what projects and new technologies are in place that will help industry capitalize on Aboriginal traditional knowledge? The momentum and excitement in this region is building and what the key players have to say and to do will have a profound impact on working together effectively going forward. Legal matters, consultation duties, regulatory guidelines, environmental issues and best practices in industry relations are key ingredients in making partnerships work at all levels. For this 7th annual program, Insight Information, has developed an up-to-date program concerning key matters related to Aboriginal oil and gas and information not to be missed as the sector s business relationships continue to grow amongst Aboriginal/ First Nation/Métis communities, industry and governments. Leading experts in their fields will share their knowledge and current experience with this business sector. Networking luncheons, informal breaks and question periods after each session will give attendees the opportunity to have their questions addressed and to establish important industry contacts. The conference materials prepared by the speakers will also be a valuable resource for future reference and use. Join us to hear the latest on emerging development that impact key stakeholders. We look forward to your attendance and participation. Ron S.
