Minimum of 3 credit hours) Elementary Education majors will meet Ethics and Civic Engagement through successful completion of Education and the American Culture (EDUC-H340). VII. SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE (Two 3-credit hour courses, each from a different area: Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, and History). Minimum of 6 credit hours) Required or Suggested Courses Course Taken World History (HIST-H113, H114 or POLS-Y217, Y219) Psychology or Sociology (PSY-P103 or SOC-S100; S101) Elementary Education Majors will meet additional Social Studies standards by successfully completing E325 Elementary Social Studies Methods. Total VIII. HUMANITES AND ARTS (One 3-credit hour course from each of the two areas.
