We have certificates in Accounting, Administrative Office, Computer Science, and Management/Marketing. All credits earned on a certificate can be applied towards an Associates in Applied Science Degree. We offer internships where you can earn college credit while gaining real life working experience. Students who receive these degrees are able to obtain immediate employment in the government and private sector. If your goal is to complete a bachelors degree, the Business and Technology program offers courses that will transfer seamlessly into most colleges and universities. Our full time faculty are available to assist you in completing all of your academic goals. Attending NEO helped establish a foundation that s required to meet the demands of new developments in business, technology, economics, and management techniques as well as social maturity and responsibility. The NEO Business and Technology faculty meet regularly with an advisory council made up of members of the business community with expertise in each of our program areas. We are continuously reviewing our curriculum to make sure that you will have the education and skills necessary to be successful. Our graduates are successfully employed at many large and small companies including the City of Miami, Arvest Bank, Conoco-Phillips, Eagle Picher, St. Francis Hospital, American Airlines, Jack Henry Associates, Logan & Lowry, LLP, and many others. As a business owner it is rewarding to know that I got my college start at NEO. It gave me the foundation that I built on later in my college years. From that groundwork I was able to be successful in several different businesses throughout the past 30+ years. It is rewarding that after such time my relationship with the college has grown not only as one of my valued customers but also in establishing a great working relationship with experienced, ethical and high quality staff members on many different projects over the past years. The NEO Business and Technology Department offers an option in the Business Administration Technology Degree in Entrepreneurship. You will take courses such as Human Resources Management, Small Business Management, Accounting, and other classes that will help you in your endeavor.

4 BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY NEO may be a small college, but it s a great place to get a big start! When I started I was just a regular student, but I left a mature and motivated adult, who is an experienced student leader. This was possible because I had amazing advisors and instructors that wanted to see me succeed in and outside the classroom. My 2nd week of NEO I joined Phi Beta Lambda and through PBL I got real world experience in business. I liked it so much that I was elected state Two-year Vice President, local Chapter President, and now State President. GO GO NEO! With over 40 campus clubs and organizations, NEO offers students the opportunity to gain leadership skills while building relationships that will last a lifetime. The Business & Technology Department have three clubs: The Investment Club allows students to have a mock investment portfolio with real-life results. Phi Beta Lambda is a national organization which exists to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. NEO s chapter of PBL competes on both the state and national level. The Accounting Club introduces students to the accounting profession with speakers who are currently employed in the field. NEO also competes in the annual Oklahoma Governor s Cup Small Business Plan competition. By taking concurrent classes during high school, I was able to complete my A.S. degree from NEO in one year. All of my classes transferred to OSU and I completed by Master s of Accountancy in another 3 ½ years. My advisor at NEO knew all of the classes I needed to take to make my transfer to OSU smooth. 5 When I enrolled at NEO, I had no idea what I was doing, or what to expect. The help that the staff gave me was unbelievable. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS? Many of the courses needed for a Business Administration, Business Administration Technology, or Computer Science degree are offered either on the Internet or in the evening. Your advisor will help you work out a schedule that meets your needs. BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT: Offers faculty with professional experience in their respective fields who serve as advisors and mentors to ensure you are enrolled in the classes required to meet your academic goals Prepares you to continue your education at a four-year college or university or to seek employment in your chosen field Assists you in finding internships in your final semester Provides scholarships specifically for department majors through the NEO Foundation WILL MY CLASSES TRANSFER? With proper advising and a degree from the Business and Technology Department at NEO, you can finish your bachelor s degree in any number of business or computer science related majors at any college in Oklahoma or the 4-state area in just 2 more years. All of our required business courses and most of our electives are on the State Regents course equivalency project which guarantees a seamless transfer to colleges in Oklahoma. We have 2+2 articulation agreements with colleges in Kansas and Missouri that also allow for an easy transition from NEO to the college or university. WHO WILL ADVISE ME? You will have an academic advisor who is a full-time member of the NEO Business and Technology Department faculty. All of our faculty have real-life experience working in business or technology. Many of our faculty are NEO graduates themselves and are anxious to give you the same superb NEO experience that they received. Whether your goal is to immediately join the work force or transfer to a university, they will help you choose the classes that will enable you to achieve that goal. Getting my college degree has always been a goal of mine, a goal I put off. That is until my advisor contacted me, encouraged me to start back, and committed to helping me work out a class schedule that I could manage with a family and career. NEO s offering of online classes met all of my credit needs, made it possible for me to complete my associate s degree, and prepared me to pursue a bachelor s degree. I enjoyed my time here so much that I was excited at the opportunity to return to my alma mater and provide the same quality educational experience to my students that I received. One of my favorite memories of the Computer Information Systems club is when we would hold LAN parties back before everything was simple to hook up. Students would bring their personal computers and we would set up a local network. We would have tournament games and competitions. The sophomores would show the new freshman how to configure and set the parties up. It was a great time to learn with hands on experience.
