15 Masters in Financial Economics: Requirements 1. You will be expected to use mathematical techniques, and to learn statistical skills rapidly. There will be pre-course maths classes and maths support classes during the first term. 2. No prior knowledge of economics is required and pre-course reading in economics will be suggested. However, many people in the class will have some economics training. 3. Being able to think conceptually and analytically is key. 4. To apply, you need a good undergraduate degree or equivalent. You are required to take the GMAT or GRE test. 5. Candidates whose first language is not English are also required to take either the TOEFL or IELTS tests.
