Advus is seeking a highly motivated Practice Manager, Visualization/BI Software Development to grow with the company s other Practice Managers responsible for the growth and success of this interesting practice area and team resources. This is an ideal position for a Sr. Software Development Project Manager, already in the consulting services industry, to lead their own practice area working with other Practice Managers, an international management team and worldwide partners to deliver high-impact enterprise and functional dashboards the change the way clients to business. This candidate will split their time between working with sales in the sales proposal process and leading client engagements through practice resources. Candidate Requirements Include: Business Skills Expertise as a Sr. Project Manager/Engagement Manager in a consulting environment, assisting sales in proposal development and project leadership. Proficient in technical and managerial aspects of a software development process, including the ability to manage a complex software development project in both the business solution or IT functional area, participate developing and pricing client proposals. Able to conceive solutions for complex technical and business problems. Supervise hiring and mentor team project members. Lead by example. Write and present business and technical proposals, software architecture documents, project overviews, software development process disciplines. Profit and Loss budget/project execution. Able to resolve project issues with customer and team. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement or Quality Programs a plus. Knowledge of key performance indexes. 2 Technical Skills years working experience in software development including increasingly complex business and technology project management. Knowledge based on current experience with data visualization, metrics, information data warehouses to lead and development business/it focused client solutions. Be able to design a whole software system, including the design of integration, persistence, security, etc and lead other team technical resources to deliver their respective components. Proficiency in design and use of web services. Software architecture definition, based on key requirements and on architecture best practices, such as architecture patterns. Knowledge of SOA Architecture. Ability to conceive a system integration solution, involving different applications, heterogeneous environment, etc. Fully capable of leading resources that will be using UML and capable of defining technical software specifications in UML diagrams, Object Oriented Applications, with Java expertise, advanced knowledge of JEE platform, XML, XSLT, XML schemas proficiency,.net OLAP, MDX, Data Warehousing knowledge Assumed knowledge of the Microsoft suite of Productivity/Collaboration tools Knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) Suites is a plus. Other Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field. 10+ yrs experience with software engineering. 10+ yrs experience managing software development projects with 5-10 team members and budget > $1.0M reais. PMI certification or equivalent knowledge. Microsoft Project proficiency. Conceptual knowledge of products like Rational Unified Process and RUP disciplines is a plus. Conceptual knowledge of products in Rational Software Architect (RSA), IBM Websphere Application Server and Business Process Modeling tools is a plus.
