2 Welcome Message Dear Colleagues, On the behalf of the organizing Committee, It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to attend the 5th Annual HIM Congress: HIM: Facilitating Health Intelligence that is planned to be held at Rosewood Hotel Abu Dhabi on 21st & 22nd October, We are very proud once again to give the region a platform for HIM discussions and learning with the support of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Following the four previous successful conferences from 2010 to 2014, this year s 2-day intensive conference will allow health information managers, data analyses, administrators, policy makers, insurers, clinicians, coders and vendors a much-needed platform to present, share, learn and discuss the latest findings in health information management in order to integrate healthcare information management and technology for medical service solutions to ensure the highest level of patient care. The annual HIM congress is bringing together healthcare colleagues from around the world for a demonstration of our commitment to collaboration, education, and interaction. This event provides the best in learning and networking opportunities through enlightening educational sessions; an exhibit hall displaying the latest in HIM solutions, products, and technology; and a roster of expert speakers and thought-leaders delivering thought-provoking talks. To make this a complete scientific experience, great care is being taken to design the plenary sessions and the topics, in consultation with a renowned faculty from the field of HIM. All Conference attendees will acquire vital information on the regional evolutions of coding and coding systems, CDI, Accreditations, Confidentiality, Panel on ROI, Data Mining and Research, Emerging Technology, Education and Training and many more.
