We see a 50 to 60 percent performance improvement in our nightly batch processing, with no SQL tuning at all Gibson says. It's Huge. Revisiting one extreme example: the seven hours of processing formerly required to merge two customers inventory data was reduced to one hour, and with further SQL tuning it now runs in one minute.
