9 Microscopy & Machine vision Opto for OEM Laser eye surgery For many years, optical modules from Opto are used to deliver the surgical laser beam to the eye during LASIK procedures, whilst enabling simultaneous 3D viewing of the eye by the surgeon. In every case, we work closely with an OEM to design imaging solutions and modules which are designed exactly to the performance requirement and budget of their equipment. We offer a complete cycle of production, from rapid prototyping and proof of concept modules all the way to volume serial production. We recognise that our OEM clients operate in highly competitive environments, and in every case we respond with rapid delivery times, full supply chain integration, and with solutions which contain imaging IP facilitating them to achieve the competitive edge in their machines. Snow measurement Measuring the consistency of snow via its optical characteristics was a solution which Opto provided to the Gold winning German world cup biathlon team, in order that the correct equipment setup was used.
