5 Device management 5 Enterprise Mobility Management BYOS / SYOD Security..: BYOD users for London 2012 Atos manages over 2.1 million devices for over 300 customers globally using the Managed Client Device service, in addition we have Onsite Support capability in 110 countries and have performed over 400 major workplace transformation projects to date including many Windows 7 and Windows 8.x migrations and pilots. Managed Client Device has been designed to integrate with, and indeed in some cases requires, other components of the Atos portfolio. The service is part of a bigger workplace picture and must always be aware of growing trends such as EMM to deal with Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Choose Your Own Device (CYOD) and services such as AnytimeFiles and integration with cloud services from both Atos such as A3C and public cloud providers such as Office365

6 Application management 6 Layer 4: These are non-managed applications and can be installed by end-users themselves (if they have the appropriate rights). Atos recommends trying to keep this number as close to zero as possible. Layer 3: Named Applications (Option toolbox) are targeted at users by the User Application Management (UAM) Service. Layer 2: Named Applications (Basic Toolbox) defined by customer, installed during Client Deployment and targeted to devices by the User Application Management (UAM) Service Layer 1: Named Applications required to deliver the service e.g. Anti-virus software, System Management software. Included in the Standard Image or installed during Client Deployment. Layer 0: managed by this service and part of the Standard Image. A Standard Image is the term used to describe a single Client OS, Configuration Settings (from Client Environment, described later in this document) and Layer 0 and 1 Named Applications stored in a suitable standard format ready for deployment. Customers benefit from a standard look and feel within the workplace and this is one of the key components to ensuring standardization and thus improved stability and increased availability of an end user device.
