2 An Introduction to Forensics Europe Expo 2015 Welcome to Forensics Europe Expo 2015 Forensics Europe Expo is the only dedicated international forensics exhibition and conference. The event is the meeting place for those who wish to learn about all aspects of forensics, from crime scene to the court room. Organised in collaboration with: Who Should Attend? Forensics Europe Expo is delighted to announce that the 2015 two day conference programme will be organised in collaboration with the leading forensic organisation in the world, the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences. Welcome from the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences is delighted to this year be partnering with the team at Forensics Europe Expo to bring you an exciting, innovative and ground breaking two day conference. As the Professional Body for forensic sciences we are excited to see that the programme this year represents those across the entire crime scene to court process and includes high profile speakers from not only law enforcement and educational sector, but also commercial organisations discussing their own challenges faced within forensics and security. In the ever changing forensic science arena this is an excellent opportunity to blur the lines and for professionals within the crime justice system to learn from processes implemented in the commercial sector and vice versa. CSFS are pleased to be dedicating an entire day to the currently hot topic of e-forensics as well as hosting presentations on topics including analysis of gunshot residue and mass violence. We hope that the speakers and topics within the conference will help you grow within your daily role and you thoroughly enjoy your forensic journey. 3 World Leading Dedicated Forensics Conference High Level Conference Sessions will Include: Forensic Investigations and Innovations Criminal investigations are at the heart of forensics and are the starting point of the journey. These sessions will look at all sides of how forensics are used once a major crime is committed. Of course, in the modern day, major crime may be committed in a digital manner and has devastating effects. The program will represent the full scope, from physical crime scene investigations and innovations used by law enforcement teams, to investigations in a corporate financial environment. The session will end with a discussion on the role investigations play and how evidence is best used at court. Forensic Labs and Analysis Once the evidence is collected from the scene of crime, it is safely packaged and sent to appropriate forensic laboratories for testing. Ensuring accuracy during this step is absolutely key to any matter. The sessions will touch upon major issues in evidence testing, discussing fingerprint analysis, autopsies, accuracy in drug testing, and finishing with forensic analysis of gunshot residue and cases of mass violence. This session is a must attend for all law enforcement and legal sector professionals looking to explore what happens once the evidence is handed into a laboratory. Digital Forensic Investigations Over the last couple of years, digital investigations have become one of the hottest topics for a number of industries. With mass digital attacks such as hackings of commercial private files learning how to counter these attacks is becoming critical. The session will use the power of sector cross sharing to help delegates leave with real knowledge to feed into their existing protection plans. Talks will include senior digital officials within law enforcement, teachings on protecting assets in the financial sector, tracking of modern day pedophiles exploiting social media sites, mobile phone and data storage forensics and ways to counter piracy and hacking instances within the entertainment industry.
