4 HB 7031 Education Clarifies dual enrollment secondary student eligibility as students in grades 6-12 in a Florida public or private school (s (2), FS)
5 HB 5101 Education Funding Each school district and each public postsecondary institution shall develop a dual enrollment articulation agreement. The agreement must be annually updated and submitted to the DOE by August 1. (s (21),FS) School districts will pay the public postsecondary institution (FCS and SUS) the standard tuition rate for dual enrollment on the postsecondary campus for fall or spring term only. (s (21)(n)1,FS) School districts will pay the public postsecondary institution (FCS and SUS) the postsecondary institution s proportion of salary and benefits for postsecondary faculty on the high school site. (s (21)(n)1,FS) School districts do not pay any fees for dual enrollment on the high school site by high school instructors. (s (21)(n)1,FS) Subject to appropriation, the public postsecondary institution shall receive funding equal to the standard tuition for dual enrollment during the summer. (s (21)(n)2,FS)
6 HB 5001 General Appropriations Act From the funds provided in Specific Appropriations 9 and 96, $223,382,911 is provided for Instructional Materials including $11,795,824 for Library Media Materials, $3,224,192 for the purchase of science lab materials and supplies, $10,000,000 for dual enrollment instructional materials, and $3,015,624 for the purchase of digital instructional materials for students with disabilities. The growth allocation per FTE shall be $ for the fiscal year. School districts shall pay for instructional materials used for the instruction of public high school students who are earning credit toward high school graduation under the dual enrollment program as provided in section (1)(i), Florida Statutes.
7 SB 850 Education Each FCS institution will establish one or more collegiate high school programs in the service area school district (s (1), FS) Option for 11 th and 12 th graders to earn CAPE industry certifications and 30 credits toward degree (s (2), FS) The contract must be executed by January 1 for following school year. If there is not a program established for the school year, the FCS institution may establish a program with another school district (s (3), FS) The school district may also establish collegiate high school programs with state universities and eligible private postsecondary institutions (s (5), FS) State Board will enforce compliance by withholding funds from school districts and Florida College System institutions (s (6), FS)
8 Complete Florida Plus Program (HB 5101) A K-20 statewide computer-assisted student advising system which shall support career and education planning for the K-12 system and the process of advising, registering, and certifying postsecondary students for graduation and which shall include a degree audit and an articulation component. Florida College System institutions and state universities shall interface institutional advising systems with the statewide computer-assisted student advising system.
