22 Thanks to the Management Project subject, with Dr Boehme as my supervisor, I could implement my first Total Quality Management strategy in practice into a Wollongong company. The experience was probably the best I had during the degree, because I had the opportunity to use the knowledge gained and successfully test it in the real world. Theory is good, research and study is fantastic, but knowledge explodes with the practice. Sydney Business School gives students the tools to operate in business. Managing people and implementing ideas is a dayto-day skill that can only be developed with practice, respect for the profession, accountability, creativity and persistence.
