Are you in debt? Do you need to sell your house fast? Then Read on to find out How To Get Out Of Debt Now! When you miss mortgage payments you can find yourself in deep trouble. The mortgage lender could repossess your home and you could loose the home you cared for and lived in for years. This is one of the biggest nightmares for many of us. To top things off, we all know that moving home is one of the most stressful times in life. Our stress is increased even more when we know that there is a real possibility that we may not have anywhere else to live. Additionally, most of us would feel emotionally strained because we don t want our neighbours to find out about our financial troubles. If you find yourself in a situation like this, you may find it very difficult to get your home sold quickly to release the needed cash. And even if you do find a buyer, the sales process could take too long and all help could be too late. 1
To help you avoid a situation where your home might be repossessed, take action NOW and reduce your debt! Our guide is there to help you get out of debt fast and to get your life back on track. We hope you find it helpful and if you have any questions regarding this guide or if you would like to speak to one of our property consultants, please do not hesitate to contact us on or call us on. 2
So How Can I Get Out Of Debt Today? Step 1 The first step for you to get out of debt is to sit down with a pen a paper and write down exactly how much you owe and whom you owe it to. Your debt can include: Mortgages Arrears Early Redemption Penalties (to find out about your redemption amount you can simply ask your mortgage lender) Secured Loans Unsecured Loans Credit Cards Debts Store Card Debts Etc. 3
It is very important at this point that you are honest with yourself or you won t be able to solve your problems head on. If your debt repayments are more than 20 per cent of your net monthly income, you will need to cut back if you don t want to end up on the rocky road towards financial trouble. Step 2 Now that you know how much you owe, you should create a budget for yourself. The budget should include a schedule for repaying your debts. Be realistic and calculate what you can afford to pay back and when. However, remember the sooner you pay off your debt, the less you will have to pay in interest! Step 3 The next step is vital: Discipline yourself. Don t borrow any more money until you have repaid what you already owe. If you do this you will not only be happier with yourself but you will also feel less stressed. Step 4 Take a set amount of money out of the bank at the beginning of each week for you to spend without using your card. This prevents you from spending more than you have in cash. Many people find this to be helpful. Also ask a trusted friend or family member to keep your card from you during the week as this will prevent you from spending over your budget. 4
Step 5 Make sure that your utility bills are being paid by direct debit. This makes it easier for you to pay bills on time and you won t have to worry about incurring any additional charges. To help you set up direct debit call your utility providers and they will be more than happy to help. Step 6 Go to websites such as and to ensure that you are getting the best deal out there for your credit card/ loan, home insurance, car insurance, mobile phone plan and many other deals. See if you can switch to a cheaper deal to save you extra each month. Step 7 Another effective method to save each month is to simply cut up your store cards. These cards charge the highest rates for credit. Get rid of them as soon as possible as it will avoid temptation to buy things you can t afford. It might seem difficult at first, but you will be glad you did it. 5
Step 8 You may also want to consider changing your mortgage lender. Your mortgage is probably your biggest expense, so it is important that your make sure you have the best possible deal. You could use a mortgage broker to help you find the best product on the market. There are many more steps of how you can reduce your debt. To find out more have a look at our resources below. Our resources for you: Thank you for reading this guide. We hope that this information could lead to a positive change in your life! If you have any more queries or problems you would like to discuss do not hesitate to contact us. 6
