Across Europe, through the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), the industry has announced its intention to introduce the disclosure of financial relationships beginning in 216 for payments made to individual healthcare professionals in 215. As part of the journey towards greater transparency, companies are taking the early step of disclosing the aggregate payments paid to Healthcare Professionals during 214, plus the number of Healthcare Professionals who received payments. The decision to publish aggregate payments, voted for by ABPI member companies in 21, was made in recognition of the increasing need for greater transparency throughout a range of industry sectors, including the pharmaceutical industry.
