A total of 100 points is required on the Washington -Based HOUSSE Content Knowledge Matrix to meet NCLB highly qualified teacher requirements. 2. Steps to complete the Washington -Based HOUSSE process a. Determine the grade level wksheet aligned with the teacher s assignment b. Identify and recd college credit coursewk applicable to teacher s assignment on wksheet in Categy 1 c. Proceed to Categy 2 and document years of teaching experience on wksheet d. Total points in first two categies. Continue through the remaining categies until a total of 100 points is reached. When 100 points are reached, stop point accumulation process and complete bottom of wksheet. e. Attach wksheet to the teacher s identification fm. Retain fms at the district office f seven years f auditing purposes. Provide a copy of the completed identification fm and any wksheets to teacher.
