1 Project DreamCatcher: Helping Native American Businesswomen Achieve their Goals PROGRAM APPLICATION FORM Freeport-McMoRan Foundation is sponsoring an entrepreneurship training program for Native American women called Project DreamCatcher. This unique and exciting program is focused on developing the business skills of current and potential women business owners in the Native American community. The program will be held in two, one week modules in Glendale, Arizona, on the campus of one of the top-ranked international business schools in the world, Thunderbird School of Global Management. The program will utilize Thunderbird's leading faculty to teach courses in marketing, financial planning, strategy, negotiations, project management, leadership and more. Each selected participant will be paired with a successful business professional who will work with them in the program to set and achieve business goals, create a formal business plan, and serve as a source of advice and encouragement. Full scholarships to this program will be provided for up to 25 high-potential women entrepreneurs through a partnership with Freeport-McMoRan Foundation. The only cost to the participant is transportation to and from Glendale for each of the one week training modules, and the time and hard work that will be needed to make the best use of the program. ELIGIBILITY Up to 25 current and potential women business owners will be selected for the program. Participants will be selected on the basis of applicable experience, passion for business growth, and strength of business concept. Only business women who clearly communicate their drive and potential for success will be offered a scholarship to this highly impactful program. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and an enrolled member of one of the following tribes: Hualapai San Carlos Apache Tohono O odham White Mountain Apache Applicants must also be able to commit to attending both of the training course weeks on the following dates: Module 1 is scheduled for September 15 19, 2014 Module 2 is scheduled for February 16 20, 2015 Please consider your availability when applying.
