He is a board member of the National Lawyers Guild (Lawyer Referral Service), is affiliated with the Boston Bar and Massachusetts Bar Associations, and is a member of the U.S. District Court and the Supreme Court Bars. Jeremy established this firm in 1997 with the simple objective of running a people oriented practice. His first office in downtown Boston was just large enough for a small desk and file cabinet. He has since developed a thriving practice that includes litigation, probate, landlord/tenant, real estate, personal injury and estate planning. He has handled several high-profile cases which received television, radio, and newspaper coverage. Due to the personal attention they receive, most clients have hired Jeremy for subsequent legal matters. Jeremy is the accomplished author of Unlearning Law School: The Key to Running Your Own Law Office, a guide for lawyers interested in opening a solo practice. Unlearning Law School has achieved a widespread circulation in law school classrooms and online, and is the subject of Jeremy s frequent lectures to law students. His second book, The Lawyer Within: Successful Self-Advocacy Techniques, was published in the Spring of 2011 and is available for purchase. Jeremy led two previous seminar, in 2010 and 2012, respectively, at the Omni Parker House addressing the topics of opening a law practice and handling legal/financial matters. He is a frequent lecturer at law schools, having recently spoken at the Levin School of Law (University of Florida). He recently argued a case to the full panel of the MA Supreme Judicial Court concerning a subsidized residential tenancy.

Currently, John runs a private practice specializing in family law and probate issues, in which he implements his pragmatic approach to complex problems. John has served on two committees created by the Supreme Judicial Court of MA, the Ethics Advisory Committee and the Committee on Fee Generating Appointments. He received his B.A. from Yale University and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School.
