Apparently Leonardo came to Corleone about The marriage record of Leonardo's son Giovanni to Maria Gaugliardo states that Leonardo and his spouse Angela were from Sessondra (could be Sessandra). This place is Alessandria della Pietra, which is 54.2 km south of Corleone. Although colonization in Sicily dates back to the New Stone Age, the town Alessandria della Pietra was founded in 1570 by Don Carlo Blasco Barresi. The town was named in honor of Alessandro Presti the feudal baron of the locale and the the Castello della Pietra d Amico, a Castle built into a rock located nearby. In 1713 it was renamed Alessandria di Sicilia. In November 1862 it was renamed Alessandria della Rocca, to honor Our Lady of the Rock, the patron saint of the country. The community of Alessandria della Rocca is tucked away in the heartland of Sicily in the province of Agrigento. She returned to the United States with her two sons, Vincenzo and Antonino. They travelled on the S.S. Rex which departed Italy at the Port of Naples on 28 April 1937 and arrived in to the United States on May 6th. Santa reported that her last residence was Cefalu but it is a well known fact that prior to returning she resided in Corleone. She came to join her husband Francesco.
