3 Principals Dmitry Paperny creative director Dmitry Paperny is the co-founder of the Studio. Most recently Dmitry was Creative Director at Time Inc. Interactive, responsible for visual design and branding of Time Inc. s categoryleading websites such as InStyle, Entertainment Weekly, Health, Real Simple, LIFE.com, portals MyRecipes and MyHomeIdeas and many more. Dmitry also oversaw design and branding of SPC Digital sites, including Cooking Light, Southern Living, Coastal Living and Cottage Living. In addition, he acted as a design advisor to the internal design teams at People.com, Time. com, and This Old House.com. The sites under his design supervision reached nearly a billion pageviews a month. At Viewpoint, where he started as Product Manager for interactive online products and later became Vice President of Creative Strategy, he managed the creative process utilizing company s groundbreaking technology from concept to implementation. His creative work for clients such as Nike, Sharper Image, Sony, Gateway, IBM, Ford and Boeing won numerous awards and industry accolades. Dmitry began his career in graphic design in 1991 when he founded a design studio that specialized in corporate identity, product packaging and graphic design for clients that included Capitol Records, Warner Music, La Crema Winery, Barefoot Cellars and UCLA, among others. Over the years Dmitry won numerous design and technology awards, including 2007 Web Designer of the Year Award from MIN, and Time Inc. President s Award in Dmitry holds a BFA with Honors in Graphic Design from School of Visual Arts. Dmitry teaches a graduate course on web design at NYU School of Publishing, where he is an adjunct professor. Jeff Jouppi art director Jeff Jouppi is the co-founder of the Studio. He is a creative professional specializing in developing consumer web products including content websites, promotional mini-sites, and web 2.0 applications. Consulting independently, Jeff was the designer responsible for Time Inc. s award winning sites including LIFE, Entertainment Weekly, InStyle, Real Simple and sites for SPC Digital. Jeff has over 15 years of experience in the online content and computer graphics industry. His career began as a stop-motion animator for the ABC children s series Bump in the Night. Transitioning to computer graphics, he was hired as Art Director and first employee of ThinkFish Productions, an MIT/RISD startup focused on bringing creative and expressive digital rendering products to market. Continuing on through a merger with Viewpoint DataLabs, he worked to productize the award winning ThinkFish technology into client services and a desktop application. Moving to Computer Associates, he served as Creative Director for a pilot R&D group focusing on interface concepts to provide elegant visual access to complex data for their Unicenter enterprise management applications. Jeff rejoined Viewpoint Corp. in 2000 with the role of expanding its 3D media technology s capabilities to include online promotions, interactive games and collaborative design environments. Clients included Ford, Infiniti, NBC, AOL, Sony, and Warner Bros. Jeff oversaw the creative integration of Viewpoint s technology into AOL 8.0 with uses for immersive ad placement, shopping tools and personal themes. Jeff received a BFA with Honors in Illustration/Animation from Rhode Island School of Design.
