12 TRAINING Spill Response Training In addition to our Spill Control products we offer training courses to provide additional know-how about the application of our products. Each course is designed to promote an increased awareness of what level of protection is required within your business and how to respond effectively in the event of a spill. This is especially relevant for companies who are looking to install an Environmental Management System (EMS) or when applying for accreditation such as ISO 00. All our courses can be tailored to your own site can specific requirements and form the foundation of your own environmental policy. Our courses will also help you to be aware of current legislation relating to the safe storage of all types of industrial fluids. We provide three distinct Courses: Basic Spill Response Training: An introduction to spill control - essential for any facility to implement an EMS. The course includes product identification, disposal of contaminated absorbents, practical demonstrations and an open forum Q & A session. Intermediate Spill Response Training: An in depth course including an introduction to current legislation, how to structure and implement a contingency plan, identification, how to use spill kits, disposal of contaminated absorbents, practical demonstrations, open forum Q&A and an optional written test. Advanced Spill Response Training: This is the highest level of training and is structured for facilities where the requirement exists for first responders to have hands-onexperience. The course includes on site risk assessment procedures, current legislation awareness, implementation of contingency plans, product identification - what to use where, spill kit usage, disposal of contaminents, hands-on demonstrations, open forum Q&A and an optional written test.
