2 2 The Spain & Africa Renewable Energy Consortium was created in 2011 as A Non-Lucrative organization with the mission to develop the renewable energy in Africa. The Consortium is an open initiative created in 2011 by nine of the large Spanish companies from this industry. Today, 18 companies are part of the Consortium. An open cluster to all the Spanish companies who share this mission. A partner for African governments who need to develop their Renewable Energy Programmes. A support for African companies and entrepreneurs who want to participate in the RREE industry.

3 Our main targets To become one of the references in the Africa Renewable Energy market. To promote the Spanish Renewable Energy Industry in the continent. To encourage and maintain a continuous institutional relationship with the stakeholders on the energy market. To give support to Spanish companies in their approach to these markets.

4 Our main focus SUPPORT FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS through capacity building and technical assistance INVEST As INDEPENDENT POWER PRODUCERS (IPPs) in all RE technologies. CONSTRUCT ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT and CONSTRUCTION (EPCs) in all RE technologies. PARTNER With LOCAL COMPANIES to develop projects covering all value chain. PROMOTING The INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT of the country acquiring the compromise to invest in training, local content, job creation, R&D 4

5 5 Our main achievements SUPPORT More than 40 visitors in different Study Tours since Forums, exhibitions, workshops INVEST 12 projects sponsored by Spanish companies. More than 4,600 M of FDI since Spanish factories (solar modules and wind towers). CONSTRUCT More than 25% of the MWs in the programme has got by Spanish EPCs All CSP projects has been developed by Spanish companies. PARTNER A great number of South African companies has partnered with Spanish companies in the REIPPP LOOK FOR THE DEVELOPMENT 2 Spanish Factories have been opened since More than 40% of the investment have gone to local content. More than 10,000 employments has been created by Spanish companies.
