5 THE ANNUAL INSTITUTE The University of Nebraska College of Law and the Young Lawyers Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association are both committed to helping the lawyers of Nebraska serve the people of Nebraska. That s why the College and the Section have a longstanding tradition of co-sponsoring the Annual Institute on the Survey of Nebraska Law, a program designed to help lawyers keep abreast of new developments in Nebraska Law. The success of the Institute is due in large part to the judges and lawyers who volunteer their time to serve as the Institute s faculty. Their work reflects not only their substantive expertise but also their commitment to the profession. Whether you have a general practice or practice in a specialized area, this year s Institute has much to offer. This is an opportunity for you to find out what changes in Nebraska law have occurred in the past year. We hope that you will join us at the College on September 4. TAX DEDUCTION Tuition, travel, hotel and meal expenses are deductible from federal income taxes if they improve or maintain professional skills.
