More ways to get the help you need Find out about our Phone, LiveChat and WebCam support services Relate Derby and Southern Registered in England Registered Charity
New and different ways to access our services We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get the help you need, so we have been working hard to develop a wide range of alternative ways to have counselling support. counselling Our counselling service lets you have one or more counselling sessions via . LiveChat We've trained many of our counsellors in LiveChat so you can have a confidential typed conversation with your counsellor on your computer. We offer services for adults and young people and have a free drop in service for adults too. WebCam counselling You can also have your face to face counselling session via WebCam. Phone counselling Our phone helpline has been offering free drop in times for many years. Now there are also more options for having one or more of your counselling sessions on the phone if that is easier for you.
LiveChat LiveChat is a special online messenger service that means you can have a real time typed conversation with a specially trained counsellor. We deliver 3 different LiveChat services: Free Adult Drop in LiveChat Available one afternoon every fortnight. Go to for the dates and times of our next drop in. This service is funded by the Big Lottery. Booked LiveChat You can either have all your sessions via LiveChat or have a particular session via LiveChat when this suits you better. If you think you might like to have some of your sessions by LiveChat please let us know when you register so we can make sure you see a counsellor from our LiveChat team. There will be a charge for a booked session, just like a face to face session. LiveChat for year olds Our Safe Speak service for young people is also available via LiveChat. This is delivered via our irelate support website for young people. The service is delivered via contracts with individual schools, colleges and youth venues, with clients accessing the service from school or home. For more information on our young people's LiveChat please contact our Safe Speak Office on or info@safespeak.org.uk
WebCam counselling We can deliver many of our services via WebCam. You can either have all your sessions via WebCam or have a particular session by this method when it is more convenient for you. Maybe you work away for part of the year or perhaps you do not live near one of our Centres and transport is difficult for you? WebCam counselling means you can continue to get the support you need, meeting face to face with your counsellor. We use secure video conferencing software called Nefsis. You will need to have a PC with a WebCam, speakers and microphone that can go online and access the Nefsis site. If you want this flexible approach to sessions, but don t want to use a WebCam, ask us about phone, and LiveChat options. Thank you to the Big Lottery which financially supports our free helpline and LiveChat drop in services.
counselling Relate counselling is a confidential service enabling you to work with a Relate counsellor online using an exchange of s. Sessions cost Once we receive your payment we you a consultation form to fill in. This has space for your description of what you are wanting help. the form back to us at onlinesupport@relatederby.org.uk and your counsellor will send a detailed reply to you within 5 working days of receiving it. You can either have all your sessions on the phone or have a particular session by this method when it is more convenient for you. If you do not live near one of our Centres or you work away from home a lot then phone counselling can be a convenient option that helps you to get the support you need at a time and place that suits you.. Please contact us for more details. If you want this flexible approach to sessions, but don t want to use a WebCam, ask us about phone, and LiveChat options.
